COPELOUZOS GROUP, through its member company, PROMETHEUS GAS S.A. is a principal shareholder of the company ZEA MARINA S.A., which has the responsibility of the upgrade and management of the Zea Marina for the next 40 years. Mr. Dimitris Copelouzos is the Managing Director of PROMETHEUS GAS S.A. and the President of the Board of Directors of ZEA MARINA S.A. The Company, which was awarded with the concession of the Zea Marina after
a public tender, has already completed an investment plan of total cost 10 million Euro for the upgrade of the Marina as well as the improvement and the modernization of the offered services.
Zea Marina is one of the largest marinas in Greece, located in one of the most attractive areas of Piraeus. It is a centre of attraction for many Greek and foreign yacht owners and charter companies which use the Marina as a base for cruises to the Greek islands. In proximity to the beautiful islands of the Saronic Gulf and the Aegean islands, Zea Marina welcomes every year thousands of yachts and big cruisers from all over the world.
The Marina occupies a total space of 225,000 m2 at the area of Freatyda and Passalimani, has a maximum depth of 12 meters and the capacity to accommodate 620 boats - varying from 8 to 50 meters long - in fixed and floating piers of 832 and 464 meters respectively.
Each berth provide water, electricity and telecom services as well as waste management, fire safety and fire security to all yachts that use the Marina.
The land area of the Marina covers an area of 40,000 m2. Within this area the Marina offers comfortable parking areas for the yacht-owners and their visitors, a restaurant, a cafeteria, a pool-bar, a refuelling station, as well as shops and marine stores, laundries and sanitary areas covering the needs of anyone using or visiting the area.
The Marina is situated very close to the centre of Piraeus and the major access roads leading to the centre of Athens and the Athens International Airport.
Sophisticated monitoring and security systems have been installed to offer to the users and visitors of the Marina maximum security 24 hours per day.
The participation of COPELOUZOS GROUP, through its member company PROMETHEUS GAS S.A., in the Zea Marina is a decision of strategic importance for the company. Through this participation, COPELOUZOS GROUP aims at the development of the activities related to the industry of yacht fleet management, as well as consulting services in marina project management and development projects.
